2001
Ok. I'm sick of hearing about it. I haven't updated the site since September of last year and I'm very sorry about that. But I've been pretty busy. You know, the usual winter activities - wife had a baby (Dominic), sold house, moved in with parents, bought house, moved out of parent's house, fixed up new house. Sorry, the website had to take a back seat. But the t-shirts are in the initial design stages and the party is being planned. To order t-shirts, check the front page. The website will be updated on a regular basis from now until the final 10th Annual 2001 Jarts Tournament results are posted. Thanks go out again this year to Fantastic Sams of Troy & Piqua. They are our official sponsors for the 2001 Tournament. Charlie Larger is also working hard for us to come up with the design of this year's t-shirts. The website has a couple new features. One of those is Commissioner's Corner, which is now available and will be updated regularly by the commissioner himself. There is also an ongoing message board where you can post anything you wish and it will be posted immediately. Again, check for constant updates to what's going on before the tournament begins. That's all I have for now, if you have questions, please email me or post them on the message board. And as always, here are a couple of emails that I have received in the past month or two. I found your site by mistake, but very informative. Do you know the name or names of who invented "Jarts"? If so, please email me back Email 3 Hi,
My friends and I play on the same softball team. For about 5
years now we have been taking our Jart sets to softball tournaments so that we would have
something to do between games. The rules we use vary a bit from yours, but it is
basically the same game. Every Labor Day weekend there is a marathon softball
tournament in nearby Winchester, Indiana. This tournament is limited to 32 teams,
but the beauty of it is, everyone camps there. What better opportunity to play a
huge Jart tournament!!! We usually have anywhere from 20-25 teams, and it is
great fun. We have often thought of trying to organize, at least enough to have some
sort of national tournament. We definitely have some awesome players. Anyway,
we would love to put a couple of teams in your tournament, and maybe one of these days we
will get around to having an official tourney of our own. Please let me know if it
would be possible to put teams in your tournament, and if you can give me some detalils
about where it is and the entry fee I would sure appreciate it.
Thanks, Dave, Albion, IN See you soon! Shane |
